A lot of the time, depending on your server, some of the materials you are going to need will cost you tons of gold.  If you don’t have enough gold, I would highly suggest checking out the gold guide!  Or you could check out our own article about WoW Schools how to reach the gold cap in WoW!

Here are the recommended number of materials you are going to need.  The cost depends on your server.

First Aid 1-150

Get to a first aid trainer and learn the profession.  You will automatically learn the Linen Bandage skill.

• 1 – 40 50 x [Linen Bandage] – 50 Linen cloth

• 40 – 80 60 x [Heavy Linen Bandage] – 120 Linen Cloth

Visit the trainer at around 70-75 to gain the next requirements to level past 75.

• 80 -115 60 x [Wool Bandage] – 60 Wool Cloth

• 115 – 150 60 x [Heavy Wool Bandage] – 120 Wool Cloth

At 150 go and learn Expert First Aid.  This requires the first aid book:

Alliance: Find Deneb Walker in Stromgarde Keep, Arathi Highlands, Buy the Expert First Aid book. Also buy the Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage and Manual: Mageweave Bandage while you’re out here. Or just buy them off the Auction House.

Horde: Buy the books from Balai Lok’Wein, in Brackenwall Village, Dustwallow Marsh, Buy the Expert First Aid book. Also buy the Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage and Manual: Mageweave Bandage while you’re out here. Or just buy them off the Auction House.

• 150 -180 50 x [Silk Bandage] – 50 Silk Cloth

• 180 – 210 50 x [Heavy Silk Bandage] – 100 Silk Cloth

You will now need to go and learn Artisan First Aid for 225+ which will require the Triage Quest!

For both Horde and Alliance:

• Required: You must be Level 35+ and have 225 Skill
• Bring a few stacks of Runecloth and Mageweave and you will be able to stay here after completing the quest and powerlevel your First Aid to 300, picking up the new skills at 240, 260, and 290.

Alliance Side:

First talk to Nissa Firestone in Ironforge, she’ll send you on your way to Doctor Gustaf VonHowzen in Theramore, Dustwallow Marsh, to do your Triage Quest. It’s also quite possible to simply head to the doctor and skip Nissa.

Head to Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen in Theramore, talk to him to start your Triage quest, this will, upon completion, allow you to continue on past 225 up to 300 skill. You’ll also have to return at 240, 260, and 290 to train new Bandage types. Consider him your new first aid trainer.

Horde Side:

Talk to Arnok in The Valley of Spirits, located in Orgrimmar, he’ll send you on your way to Doctor Gregory Victor in Hammerfall, Arathi Highlands, for your Triage Quest. As with the alliance you can also skip this part and simply head over to the doctor.

Talk to Doctor Gregory Victor in Hammerfall to begin your Triage quest, this will, upon completion, allow you to train up past 225 skill until 300. You’ll be required to return at 240,260, and 290 skill to train new bandages. This is your new first aid trainer.

• 210 – 240 50 x [Mageweave Bandage] – 50 Mageweave Cloth

• 240 – 260 30 x [Heavy Mageweave Bandage] – 60 Mageweave Cloth

• 260 – 290 50 x [Runecloth Bandage] – 50 Runecloth

• 290 – 300 15 x [Heavy Runecloth Bandage] – 30 Runecloth

At 300, visit Burko (Alliance) or Aresella (Horde) both in Hellfire Peninsula to buy the book and learn Master First Aid.  Buy the other books that are sold as well.

• 300 – 330 45 x [Netherweave Bandage] – 45 Netherweave Cloth

• 330 – 350 35 x [Heavy Netherweave Bandage] – 70 Netherweave Cloth

First Aid 350-450

You can train Grand Master First Aid from a Grand Master First Aid Trainer found in Borean Tundra, Howling Fjord or Dalaran.

• 350 – 400 80 x [Frostweave Bandage] – 80 Frostweave Cloth

• 400 – 450 At 400 you need to make the Heavy Frostweave Bandage to level up to 450.  This is the recipe that is only dropped – [Manual: Heavy Frostweave Bandage] is a world drop and must be found.  One of the highest percentage drops are found with the ice trolls found in Zul’Drak.

1. If you’re grouped you roll need/greed on the eggs if you come across one on a mob or ‘open’ a spawned egg up.

2. They DO stack, I think either to 10 or 20 per stack, but not sure because I only have 5 at the moment.

3. You only get the gold reward once on the FIRST turn in, and any eggs turned in after that just net you 250 rep.

4. You can turn in as many as you like in one day as the quest to turn them in IS NOT considered a daily quest.

5. A spawned egg is considered to be like a treasure chest in that you CANNOT open it up if you’re in combat. You have to be OUT of combat to open it up and get the egg.

Description

Should you discover any Netherwing eggs while exploring, bring them to me.

Be warned, a Netherwing egg is a rare discovery. Do not become frustrated if you cannot locate one. These Dragonmaw have been very thorough in collecting most of them and shipping them off to parts unknown.

Eggs might be found on creatures of the island, near crystal formations, in the mines, or even inside a nethercite node or netherdust bush.

Keep a low profile. We don’t need Mor’ghor catching wind of your actions.

• • • • Winning a Battleground using the Random Battleground option for the first time in a day will award players with 30 Honorable Kills worth of additional Honor currency and 25 Arena points.
      • Winning additional Battlegrounds using the Random Battleground option after the first random win will award players with 15 Honorable Kills worth of additional Honor currency.
      • Losing a Battleground using the Random Battleground option will award players with 5 Honorable Kills worth of additional Honor currency.

    • The Random Battleground option can be found in the Battleground tab of the PvP frame and is only available for level 80 characters at this time.
    • If this option is selected, players may not queue for specific Battlegrounds and a random Battleground simultaneously.
    • Similar to the Random Dungeon system, players will not know for which Battleground they are chosen when selected from the queue until they zone into the Battleground.
    • The Random Battleground option will only allow a group size of 5 players to queue together.
    • Bonus rewards will be offered for choosing the Random Battleground option.

    • Players with existing Marks of Honor can still turn them in to their respective faction’s quest givers, including individual marks for those who may have more marks for one Battleground than another.
    • Items which previously required Marks of Honor will have their costs adjusted to remove these requirements.

    • • Winning a Call to Arms Battleground for the first time in a day will award players with 30 Honorable Kills worth of additional Honor currency and 25 Arena points.
      • Additional Call to Arms Battleground victories after the first win for a player that day will award them with 15 Honorable Kills worth of additional Honor currency.
      • Losing a Call to Arms Battleground will award players with 5 Honorable Kills worth of additional Honor currency.

    • Choosing a specific Battleground with the Call to Arms bonus active will yield the exact same rewards as when choosing the Random Battleground option.
    • When using the Random Battleground option, players will not receive additional rewards if the Battleground chosen under the Call to Arms bonuses. In addition, the rewards for the first victory of the day cannot be earned more than once, regardless of whether or not it is obtained from the Random Battleground system or the Call to Arms Battleground.

  • The Random Battleground system has been added! Similar to the Random Dungeon system in the Dungeon Finder, players can now queue for a random Battleground.
  • Daily Battleground quests have been removed in place of the Random Battleground option.
  • Battlegrounds will no longer award Marks of Honor.
  • Whenever a Battleground has the holiday bonus active, it will now be referred to as “Call to Arms” in the Battleground tab and Calendar. In addition, Call to Arms Battleground Honor rewards have been changed.

  • The internal balance system now only changes when a faction achieves 2 consecutive defenses after an initial capture of Wintergrasp, up from 1. More details can be found on our PvP Discussion forum.

• The amount of Honor awarded for an Honorable Kill has been increased by 100% for characters of all levels. Since all Honor is awarded based on a conversion rate from Honorable Kills, this change will effectively double the amount of Honor received from Honorable Kills, or for completing Battleground and Wintergrasp objectives; however, the amount of experience gained from completing Battleground objectives and the amount of Honor rewarded for completing each Wintergrasp quest remain unchanged.

Dungeons & Raids

• • Players may now skip the initial introduction dialog to this dungeon once they have completed it at least once.

  • Blood-Queen Lana’thel: Pact of the Darkfallen now applies damage twice as often, but for half the damage. This change will make the removal of the spell a bit more responsive.
  • Hellscream’s Warsong and Strength of Wrynn now provide their bonuses to player pet health and damage, as well as the absorption amounts of Power Word: Shield and Sacred Shield.

  • • Players must use the Dungeon Finder or speak to special holiday NPCs in the world to queue up and access these bosses.
    • Upon accepting a queue for any holiday boss, the party will be ported directly to the necessary area for confronting that boss.
    • The previous summoning criteria for these bosses have been removed. Players can queue up for and fight each World Event boss as many times as they want for any standard loot that they may drop.
    • All rare holiday items (such as The Horseman’s Reins) will have a chance of being found in holiday-themed loot troves which will drop once for each player in the party no more than once per day, in the same manner that doing the Random Dungeon daily quest will provide a specific reward the first time it is completed in a day.

  • Holiday bosses (such as Ahune for the Fire Festival) will now be accessible through the Dungeon Finder.

• All weekly quests will now reset during each region’s scheduled maintenance, rather than at a single global time.

Classes: General

• Several raid buffs have had their ranges increased to 100 yards, up from 45 yards, to prevent select buffs from repeatedly getting applied and removed during highly mobile encounters. Some buffs, such as paladin auras, totems, shouts and Blood Pact are intentionally meant to have shorter ranges and remain unchanged.

Death Knights

• • • Abomination’s Might: This effect is now passive instead of being a proc on certain strikes. Rank 1 is 5% attack power and Rank 2 is 10% attack power. The self strength buff remains unchanged.
    • Will of the Necropolis: There is no longer a cooldown on the frequency at which this talent can be activated. In addition, this ability can now also be triggered by damage which deals less than 5% of your health.

    • Endless Winter: No longer causes Frost Fever to be applied by Chains of Ice, but instead grants 2/4% strength.
    • Icy Talons: The personal haste benefit provided by this talent is no longer exclusive with other sources of melee haste. This will allow death knights to always swing 4/8/12/16/20% faster when Frost Fever is applied. Windfury Totem and the party/raid component of Improved Icy Talons still do not stack.
    • Improved Icy Talons: This effect is now passive instead of being a proc. The self haste buff remains unchanged.
    • Nerves of Cold Steel: Now increases off-hand damage by 8/16/25%, up from 5/10/15%.
    • Unbreakable Armor: The amount of strength granted is now 20%, up from 10%.

    • Scourge Strike: Now deals 70% weapon damage, plus 12% of physical damage done as shadow damage for each of the death knight’s diseases on the target. The net result should be larger strikes with no diseases present, while maximum damage with all diseases applied to the target should stay the same.
    • Unholy Blight: In addition to its previous effects, this talent now also prevents diseases from being dispelled from victims afflicted by Unholy Blight.

• Icy Touch: This ability now causes a very high amount of threat while the death knight is in Frost Presence.
• Chains of Ice: The ability now innately applies Frost Fever to a target.

    • Incanter’s Absorption: This talent now only grants additional spell power when damage is absorbed by Mana Shield, Frost Ward, Fire Ward, or Ice Barrier. The limit of 5% of the mage’s health on the spell power buff has been removed.

    • Burning Soul: Threat reduction is now 10/20%, up from 5/10%.
    • Combustion: The cooldown on this spell is now 2 minutes, down from 3 minutes.
    • Empowered Fire: This talent now also applies to Pyroblast damage.
    • Torment the Weak: This talent now also applies to Pyroblast damage.

    • Brain Freeze: This talent now allows your next Fireball or Frostfire Bolt to be instant and cost no mana. There is a small internal cooldown to keep the Frostfire Bolt from immediately triggering Brain Freeze again.

    • Ghostly Strike: If the rogue has a dagger equipped, this ability now deals 180% weapon damage instead of 125%.
    • Hemorrhage: If the rogue has a dagger equipped, this ability now deals 160% weapon damage instead of 110%.
    • Serrated Blades: This talent now allows the rogue to ignore up to 3/6/9% of the target’s armor, rather than a fixed amount of armor ignored per level of the rogue.
    • Slaughter from the Shadows: Now adds 1/2/3/4/5% damage to all attacks and reduces the energy cost of Backstab and Ambush by 4/8/12/16/20, up from 3/6/9/12/15.
    • Waylay: The debuff from this talent can now be caused by Backstab in addition to Ambush and can be triggered by all hits from these abilities rather than just critical strikes, but the snare component is now 50%, down from 70%.

• • • Glyph of Disease: When this glyph causes Frost Fever to be refreshed, it will now also trigger a refresh of Icy Talons.
    • Glyph of Icebound Fortitude: Now always grants at least 40% damage reduction.

    • Glyph of Focus: Now increases the damage done by Starfall by 10%, down from 20%.
    • Glyph of Mangle: This glyph now provides 10% increased damage done by Mangle instead of increasing the duration of the debuff.

    • Glyph of Fireball: No longer increases critical strike chance of Fireball. Instead, it now reduces the cast time of Fireball by 0.15 seconds.

    • Glyph of Scourge Imprisonment: Now reduces the cast time of Shackle Undead by 1 second, up from 0.5 seconds.

    • Glyph of Deadly Throw: Now increases the slowing effect on Deadly Throw by 20%, up from 10%.
    • Glyph of Expose Armor: Now increases the duration of Expose Armor by 12 seconds, up from 10 seconds.
    • Glyph of Feint: Now reduces the energy cost of Feint by 20, up from 10.

• Frozo the Renowned has moved into the Dalaran Magus Commerce Exchange and will be trading your Frozen Orbs for various other trade goods.

• Mechanostriders: Summoning any of these mounts is now perfectly mechanical-sounding!
• Priest Tier-10 4-Piece Healing Set Bonus: Redesigned. This bonus now increases the effectiveness of the caster’s Power Word: Shield by 5% and Circle of Healing by 10%.
• Shaman Tier-10 4-Piece Elemental set Bonus: This bonus has been slightly adjusted to account for the fact that haste now modifies Flame Shock’s periodic damage ticks. The bonus now makes the shaman’s Lava Burst cause Flame Shock to tick at least two additional times before expiring.

Professions

• • The Pet Bombling and Lil’ Smoky non-combat pets are no longer Bind-on-Pickup.

  • The “Monsterbelly Appetite” daily fishing quest has changed so it now takes place outside the Violet Hold in Dalaran. The quest still requires a Severed Arm and has been renamed to “Disarmed!”

  • Most recipes that required 2 inks now only require 1.

  • Titansteel Bar: Creating this item no longer results in a cooldown. If this ability is on cooldown when the patch is applied, players must wait for the cooldown to expire naturally before it is permanently removed.

  • Glacial Bag: Creating this item now invokes a 7-day cooldown.
  • The cooldown and location requirements have been removed from creating Moonshroud, Spellweave and Ebonweave. If any of these abilities are on cooldown when the patch is applied, players must wait for the cooldowns to expire naturally before they are permanently removed.

• Runed Orbs: Recipes which require this item have had their material requirements significantly reduced.

Quests

• Many quests which require vehicles have had their vehicle mechanics updated and improved in the interest of fun.

User Interface

• • • Stack Size: If a stack of items has been added to the Auction frame, players can select the size of the stack they wish to sell. If an invalid stack size is entered (i.e. a stack of 21 Saronite Ore), the Create Auction button will be grayed out.
    • Number of Stacks: In addition to selecting the size of a stack, players can select how many stacks of an item they wish to sell (i.e. if a player has a total of 43 Saronite Ore in the Auction frame, they can choose to list 2 stacks of 20, 4 stacks of 10, 8 stacks of 5, 43 stacks of 1, etc. If the number and amount of stacks listed results in a remainder, the left-over items will be placed back in the player’s bags automatically).
    • Stack Size and Number of Stacks are linked mathematically so that altering the variables of one may automatically calculate the amount of the other (i.e. if a player puts 20 in the Stack Size field and 43 Saronite Ore are in the Auction frame, the Number of Stacks field will change to 2 by default. If a player only wishes to sell one stack of 20 Saronite Ore, the Number of Stacks field can be manually changed to 1).
    • Price: Players can now choose to input the price of an item Per Stack or Per Item by selecting either option from a pull-down. If Per Item is selected and a player is selling a stack of that item, the Auction House will multiply the selected Per Item price by the amount of that item in the stack. If Per Stack is selected, the player can enter the total price he or she wishes to charge for each stack of that item being listed.
    • Auction Post Completion Bar: If multiple items or stacks of items are being listed at once by a player, a Posting completion bar will appear showing the total progress of each individual auction being listed once the Create Auction button is selected. The greater the number of individual listings being made in a single press of the Create Auction button, the longer this process will take. Players can still browse the Auction House while the Posting completion bar is in progress, but moving around will interrupt the progress, similar to moving while attempting to create multiple bandages with First Aid. Just as with creating bandages, auctions that were completed prior to the character moving or otherwise canceling the action will successfully be listed.

  • If the Auction House on a realm is unavailable for any reason, an alert will pop up informing players who attempt to access it.
  • Players can now Right-Click to place an item in the Auction frame.
  • Entire stacks of a specific item type can be placed in the Auction frame and several options have been added for choosing how to list auctions.

  • The Deserter debuff given to players who leave a dungeon prematurely when queuing via the Random Dungeon option has been increased to 30 minutes, up from 15 minutes. The cooldown for using the Random Dungeon option remains 15 minutes.
  • The Random Dungeon cooldown is no longer displayed as a debuff. Instead, players will see the cooldown time remaining displayed in the Dungeon Finder window when Random Dungeon or Random Heroic Dungeon is selected from the pull-down.
  • If a player in your party has the Deserter debuff, or is on cooldown from the Random Dungeon option, his or her character name will be displayed in the Dungeon Finder window listed as “On Cooldown,” preventing the group from queuing.
  • Anyone in a dungeon party can now re-queue their group for a dungeon, as players will still be prompted whether or not to accept their chosen role.
  • Players who use the Vote Kick option will now be prompted to provide a reason for kicking a party member. This reason will be presented to everyone in the party except for the person voted to be kicked.
  • When joining as a group, more generous level requirements will be used instead of Random Dungeon level requirements so that players of different levels joining together will be eligible for a greater number of dungeons.
  • Parties randomly created via the Dungeon Finder will always be arranged in the party interface from top to bottom in the following order: tank, healer, damage, damage, damage.
  • If a random party is created via the Dungeon Finder and a player cannot roll Need on an item, a reason will now be provided.
  • Players can no longer roll Need on Frozen Orbs in dungeons under Need Before Greed loot rules. Pass and Greed options will still be available.

  • • • • Sort by most difficult quests.
        • Sort by least difficult quests.
        • Sort by quests closest in proximity to the player (this will automatically update as players travel around).
        • Manual sorting: This allows players to Right-Click on each quest name in the Objectives Frame and determine in what order they should be placed.

        • Toggle achievement tracking.
        • Toggle completed quest tracking.
        • Toggle tracking quest objectives in other zones.

    • The Objectives Frame will now list the number of quests displayed at the top. In addition, players can now click on the word “Objectives” at the top of the Objectives Frame for a list of sorting and filtering options which will determine how quests are ordered. Any quests or achievements filtered or sorted out of the Objectives Frame are still being tracked and are simply hidden in this frame.
    • Players can now Shift + Click on a quest objective or check the Track Quest box on the Map to track a quest in the Objectives Frame.

  • The Quest Tracking Objectives Frame can now be widened via the Interface Options menu.
  • The short description for a tracked quest is now displayed on the Map in the quest pane.
  • Quest items in a player’s inventory which begin quests now each have an exclamation point overlaid on their icons to make them more easily identifiable.

Technical

• Frame Rate: A maximum capacity of 200 frames per second has been added. To disable the frame rate limit, the following line should be added to the Config.wtf file: SET maxFPS “0″.

Bug Fixes

• • Last Man Standing: This achievement can no longer be earned in a skirmish match.

  • • Blood Plague: Applying this disease can no longer separately trigger effects from weapons.
    • Bloodworms now correctly gain the death knight’s hit rating.
    • Death Pact: Fixed a bug where Death Pact would not kill the ghoul while under the effects of Cyclone.
    • Frost Fever: Applying this disease can no longer separately trigger effects from weapons.
    • Frost Presence: Tooltip corrected to indicate the ability increases stamina by 8%.
    • Hysteria: The buff from this ability is now properly considered an Enrage for the purposes of warriors using such abilities as Enraged Regeneration.
    • Icebound Fortitude: Tooltip corrected to indicate it reduces damage by a minimum of 30%.
    • Improved Frost Presence: This talent now grants 4/8% stamina when the death knight is in Unholy and Blood Presences to match the 8% from Frost Presence.
    • Raise Dead: It is no longer possible when this ability is used in conjunction with temporary pets from quests for the ability to get permanently stuck on cooldown.
    • Rime: Dual wielding will no longer grant two chances to proc this effect from Obliterate.
    • Rune Strike: This ability can now proc Necrosis and Blood-Caked Blade.
    • Wandering Plague: No longer damages secondary targets affected by Repentance.

    • Cower: This ability can no longer trigger effects on items that trigger from melee weapon attacks.
    • Frenzied Regeneration: This ability is no longer noted as Rank 1 (it has no subsequent ranks).
    • Hurricane: If a druid begins casting this spell while in Bear Form, Dire Bear Form, or Cat Form, the spell will now cast as normal instead of immediately canceling the channel.
    • Lifebloom: The final bloom heal from this spell can no longer trigger talents, trinkets, and set bonuses for the player being healed.
    • Rake: This ability will now always land. It will no longer sometimes give a “more powerful spell” error message.
    • Tranquility: The combat log tooltip for this ability will no longer spuriously claim a range of 100 yards.
    • Tree of Life Form: Corrected a misspelling in the tooltip.
    • Typhoon: Lower ranks of this spell displayed incorrect damage information on tooltips.

    • Explosive Trap: Low ranks of this ability were receiving no bonus damage from attack power. That has been corrected.
    • Immolation Trap: Tooltips for lower ranks should now display more accurate damage.
    • Rapid Fire: Now triggers the global cooldown correctly.
    • Sniper Training: Reduced the time it takes to gain this effect so with lag it will feel more consistent with the 6 seconds stated in the tooltip.
    • Lock and Load: Fixed a bug where Lock and Load always proc’d 100% of the time from the first tick of Explosive Trap and never from additional ticks. It should now be 6% as advertised.
    • Master’s Call: This ability will now function correctly when the pet is affected by one of a death knight’s diseases.
    • Mortal Shots: This talent was not correctly buffing Serpent Sting by the full amount.

    • Arcane Empowerment: Fixed a bug preventing Rank 3 from granting 3% damage.
    • Burning Determination: This talent will no longer sometimes have its effect removed by the same spell that triggered it.
    • Dragon’s Breath: Druids can no longer remove the disorientation effect from this spell by canceling their current shapeshift.
    • Enduring Winter: Tooltip corrected to match actual Replenishment mana regeneration numbers.
    • Fingers of Frost: Mages with Molten Armor active who have the Shatter talent will no longer lose Fingers of Frost charges when Molten Armor causes reactive damage. In addition, the effect from this talent now displays the number of charges on the buff icon.

    • Ardent Defender: The debuff from this talent being recently triggered is now removed upon entering an Arena match.
    • Avenger’s Shield: Once again does not strike secondary targets affected by Repentance.
    • Benediction: This talent no longer reduces the mana cost of Seal of Righteousness by twice the intended amount.
    • Blessing of Sanctuary: It is no longer sometimes possible to have a buff icon from both Blessing of Sanctuary and Greater Blessing of Sanctuary (the second buff had no effect).
    • Divine Guardian: This talent will no longer incorrectly modify the tooltip of Sacred Shield.
    • Lay On Hands: Tooltip clarified to better explain this ability’s interactions with Divine Shield, Divine Protection, and Hand of Protection.
    • Repentance: This ability now clears Righteous Vengeance from its target when cast.
    • Sacred Duty: Tooltip corrected to indicate increases Stamina by 2/4%.
    • Sanctified Retribution: Fixed a bug preventing this ability from extending its benefit to the full radius of the paladin’s auras.

    • Tricks of the Trade: Now works properly on targets below level 65. Also fixed a bug where the threat transfer would not happen sometimes.

WotLK Mining is one of the easier professions to master, and can be done while leveling or exploring. Miners can also smelt ores into bars with their skill Smelting.  Many other professions require theire bars which can make a miner rich. Remember, smelting also can increase your mining skill points as well.

Tips

A few tips about mining, remember that ores are usually found along the cliffs or hilly areas of the map.  Keep to the outskirts and delve into caves if you dare to find the best spots for ore.  If you are straight up grinding mining, be sure to own a mount, because running around for the stuff will take forever!

Toughness

Since Wrath of the Lich King, toughness has been added to the game.  This is extra stamina that can be used by miners.  Check out the different benefits you get at the different levels.

• Rank 1, +3 Stam, Mining 75
• Rank 2, +5 Stam, Mining 150
• Rank 3, +7 Stam, Mining 225, requires level 10
• Rank 4, +10 Stam, Mining 300, requires level 25
• Rank 5, +30 Stam, Mining 375, requires level 40
• Rank 6, +60 Stam, Mining 450, requires level 55

Mining 1-75 / Copper

Copper can be found at all of the starting areas.  This section should be no problem.

Once you get enough ore, you can smelt your ore into bars for extra mining skill points.

Alliance:

Humans: Start in Elwynn forest, there is tons of ore here. head on up to goldshire, pass the large lake and keep heading up the path, you will find tons there.  Now check out the logging camp and surrounding areas.  If you still need more ore, head up to the mountains north of the map, you should find enough ore there to complete your levels.

Dwarves and Gnomes: Dun Morogh is the copper capital and is very easy to mine.  Just turn on your mining addon and you will have no problem finding copper wherever you go.

Night Elves: For nightelves, you have to do a bit of traveling.  Run to Darkshore, Auberdine.  Now run East towards the cliffs mining as much as you can along the way.  If you go in the Moonkin caves, you will get about 3-4 deposits.  Once you hit the caves head south until Ashenvale, now run west along the coastline back to Auberdine.  Keep following this loop until 65.

Horde:

Undead: From the starting zone, head south along the cliffs until you reach Undercity mining along the way, Run past the city and head towards plaguelands, but instead head to the Scarlett Monastery.

Pass the monastery and head to the coast , mine along the coast west until you hit the cliffs, you can now head south towards the starting point to end or start your loop.

Orcs and Trolls: Pretty simple area as far as mining is concerned, just fire up your mining addon and stick to cliffs and rocky edges of the map.  You will find copper everywhere.

Tauren: Big boring grassland…  Head to the outskirts and circle the map by the cliffs, you will find ore along the outer ring of mulgore.

Blood Elves Eversong woods is no problem, just turn on your skill and addon and you will have no problem finding copper everywhere.

Mining 75-125 / Incendite Ore/Tin/Silver

Another easy leveling stretch.  There are a few options you can choose here but my favorite is Incendite Ore.

Horde & Alliance:

If you arent level 20, you should be because this cave is full of level 20 mobs.  Head to the cave at Thelgan Rock,found close to the entrance to Dun Algaz.  This is an alliance area but horde can obviously mine it too.

Incendite ore is not needed by anyone and cant be smelted, so just delete it.  The reason for mining it is due to its extremely fast respawn rates equaling fast leveling times.

Lesser Bloodstone:

Corporal Kaleb in Booty Bay starts a quest to mine these. Lesser Bloodstone can be found in a cave east of Hammerfall.  You should be past level 35 to mine this.  Again, this is good to level because of the fast respawn rates.

Mining 125 – 175 / Iron/Gold

Thousand Needles/Shimmering Flats:

Star at the great lift, head west past camp ethok, mine what you see. Continue west along the cliff until you hit the border to the next zone.

Now head south to the other set of cliffs on the map, follow these east until you hit the shimmering flats, you can circle the flats until you come back to the north side of the cliffs of 1k needles.  Head west on the cliffs till you hit the great lift.  That is your loop.

Desolace:

Go to your factions main village here, you will basically making a big loops along the outskirts here.  Pretty simple if you ask me.

Mining 175-250 / Truesilver / Mithril / Dark Iron

At around this level is where you start making money on your ore you mine.  This however, means that it is going to be harder to find and you will have to deal with other people farming this stuff, so be prepared for some pvp.

Blasted lands: Fire up your skill and add on and make big circles around this place.

Searing Gorge: There are two sections here.  You can either go into the cauldron and make loops in there or circle around the other area of SG.  Or alternate.  Dark Iron Ore is found in searing gorge, but a skill of 230 is needed to mine it fyi.

Badlands: To the very east of the map there are very dense areas of ore by the ogre and fairy camps.  Once that runs out the rest of the map is also filled with many different types of ore.  I would suggest this area for the first part of this leveling section as this area turns grey once you come closer to 250 skill lvl.

Western Plaguelands: This is another option, save this till last if you are having trouble mining the other spots.  I would suggest being above level 60 and run through Andorhal for the mining spots here.

Mining 250-300 / Thorium

Winterspring: Thorium becomes more scarce than what we have run into before.  You are going to want to be looking in caves and random spots in Winterspring, check with your addon for known spots.  The owl wing Thicket has some nice spawn areas.  Darkwhisper gorge also has some spawning points.  If you can handle dragonkin elites, head over to Mazthoril for more Thorium.

Blasted Lands, Searing Gorge: I would recommend only mining here if you have to be here anyway.  The spots are scarce and random so not so time efficient.

Un’goro Crater: Pretty nice spot to mine, and its where I usually go.  You can easily aggro a ton of monsters here though, so I would recommend being above level 60.  Run circles around this place, occasionally making your way to the center for more ore.

Mining 300-330 / Fel Iron

This will all be done in the Outlands.  This caaan be done at level 60 through 70 while you level there but as far as speed and grinding is concerned you should be level 70.

Hellfire Penninsula:

Hellfire Penninsula is a little more tricky and large compared to zones in Azeroth, but as far as the overall strategy of circling the map is concerned, you will be doing the same thing here.

Other than pvp, if you are above level 68-70 you will have no problem just running around looking for ore here.

Another advantage in the Outlands is the use of flying mounts.  This way you can just fly around and not run into anything, just mine and grind lol!

Zangamarsh:

Hellfire Peninsula is better for grinding imo, but if you get bored or want to try something new, head over here and do the usual strat.  Do circles around the edge with occasional sweeps through the centre of the map.

Mining 330-355 / Fel Iron / Adamantine

Nagrand:

Nagrand is a better place for mining than the last as it is a bit more consistent as far as the terrain is concerned.  You might find it a bit easier to do.

Get to the entrance to terrokar forest, now journey north to the burning blade ruins and the ring of trials. You will eventually hit moutains, turn west (left).  Once you can turn north, head up to the laughing skull ruins for some more drops.

To finish your loop I would turn south and head past the forge camp: hate and fear, you will reach oshu’gun,  turn right and go past telaar kil’sorrow fortress until you get where you started.

Mining 355-375 / Fel Iron / Adamantine

You can either stay in Nagrand and hit up the same ore you have been, plus some more that turned oj for you or head to the higher level zone Shadowmoon Valley.

Shadowmoon will probably have a higher percentage of oj or yellow spawns and is pretty deserted so if you get bored of Nagrand for sure hit up Shadowmoon.  Just turn on your addons since there isnt a specific location or loop to take.

Mining 375-450 / Cobalt /Saronite / Titanium

You will obviously need WotLK for this section… Head to Northrend and get the appropriate training in town.  Head on over to the hills, and rocky terrain for your cobalt ore.  This section is basically straight forward.  You basically find the ore as you level, or if you are already 80 or 85 (cataclysm) you know how the area works.

Once you hit 400 you can start mining Saronite Ore.  Head on over to Sholazor Basin for the most dense spawning points for Saronite..

At 450  you can mine Titanium ore. You will find titanium in the same locations as saronite.   If you wanna venture into Wintergrasp you will be in PvP zone so be careful, but it is also a good are to grab some Titanium.

Armored to the Teeth – Rank 3/3
Increases your attack power by 3 for every 180 armor value you have.

Booming Voice – Rank 2/2
Increases the area of effect and duration of your Battle Shout, Demoralizing Shout and Commanding Shout by 50%.

Unbridled Wrath – Rank 5/5
Gives you a chance to generate an additional rage point when you deal melee damage with a weapon. Effect occurs more often than Unbridled Wrath (Rank 4).

Improved Cleave – Rank 3/3
Increases the bonus damage done by your Cleave ability by 120%.

Blood Craze – Rank 3/3
Regenerates 6% of your total Health over 6 sec after being the victim of a critical strike.

Commanding Presence – Rank 5/5
Increases the melee attack power bonus of your Battle Shout and the health bonus of your Commanding Shout by 25%.

Improved Execute – Rank 2/2
Reduces the rage cost of your Execute ability by 5.

Enrage – Rank 5/5
Gives you a 30% chance to receive a 10% damage bonus for 12 sec after being the victim of a damaging attack. This effect does not stack with Wrecking Crew.

Precision – Rank 3/3
Increases your chance to hit with melee weapons by 3%.

Death Wish – Rank 1/1
When activated you become enraged, increasing your physical damage by 20% but increasing all damage taken by 5%. Lasts 30 sec.

Improved Intercept – Rank 2/2
Reduces the cooldown of your Intercept ability by 10 sec.

Improved Berserker Rage – Rank 2/2
The Berserker Rage ability will generate 20 rage when used.

Intensify Rage – Rank 3/3
Reduces the cooldown of your Bloodrage, Berserker Rage, Recklessness and Death Wish abilities by 33%.

Bloodthirst – Rank 1/1
Instantly attack the target causing [AP * 50 / 100] damage. In addition, the next 3 successful melee attacks will restore 1% of max health. This effect lasts 8 sec. Damage is based on your attack power.

Furious Attacks – Rank 2/2
Your normal melee attacks have a chance to reduce all healing done to the target by 25% for 10 sec. This can stack up to 2 times. This occurs more often than Furious Attacks (Rank 1).

Heroic Fury – Rank 1/1
Removes any Immobilization effects and refreshes the cooldown of your Intercept ability.

Rampage – Rank 1/1
Your melee critical hits cause you to go on a rampage, increasing ranged and melee critical hit chance of all party and raid members within 45 yds by 5%. Lasts 10 sec.

Bloodsurge – Rank 3/3
Your Heroic Strike, Bloodthirst, and Whirlwind hits have a 20% chance of making your next Slam instant for 5 sec.

Unending Fury – Rank 5/5
Increases the damage done by your Slam, Whirlwind and Bloodthirst abilities by 10%.

Titan’s Grip – Rank 1/1
Allows you to equip two-handed axes, maces and swords in one hand. While you have a two-handed weapon equipped in one hand, your physical damage done is reduced by 10%.

Protection (10 points)

Improved Bloodrage – Rank 2/2
Increases the rage generated by your Bloodrage ability by 50%.

Shield Specialization – Rank 5/5
Increases your chance to block attacks with a shield by 5% and has a 100% chance to generate 2 rage when a block occurs.

Improved Thunder Clap – Rank 3/3
Reduces the cost of your Thunder Clap ability by 4 rage points and increases the damage by 30% and the slowing effect by an additional 10%.

1-80 Paladin Build

Warlock Level Guide

Welcome Warlocks!  To the 1-80 Leveling spec talent tree guide for heavy Affliction Talent build with a little Destruction added in there as well.  This build is good for PVP as it has high dps, but very good for PVE as it is high in mana conservation…   We use drain life over shadow bolt as it conserves way more mana, this accounts for higher dps output the longer a fight goes.  We also put full talent points into Eradication and Death’s Embrace for added DPS.  Also remember to try to drink and eat as little as possible over time as this slows down leveling times.  You can play your Warlock how you want, but try to experiment spell combos that allow you to kill and move on to the next monster with as little down time as possible.

The Spell combo you want to use is:   Haunt –> Siphon Life –> CoA/CoE –> Corruption –> Unstable –> Haunt again –> Immolate. Drain life until you get Nightfall and then repeat. Keep unstable, Corruption, and CoA cast at all times, as they are your top daWarlock dealers, along with Haunt.  Experiment with your own paying style to increase killing over time.

One aspect of World of Warcraft that draws many players to strive to improve their skills and characters is the teamwork that comes in raiding.  Players work together to fight mobs and work their way to bosses in dungeons, known as raids or instances.  This offers players at higher levels an alternative to player vs. player experiences, such as battlegrounds or arenas.

When Blizzard released The Burning Crusade expansion, raiding was given added depth with Heroic Modes in dungeons.  This meant a harder difficulty of bosses within the raid and higher rewards in the loot.  This was the first step in making raiding more interesting for players.

In the release of The Wrath of the Lich King expansion, raiding was taken further with the introduction of parallel raiding experiences.  Each raid dungeon is available as a 10 or 25-man raid.  This allowed smaller guilds to experience more raid content without the difficult jump from 10 man raids to 25 man raids.

In patch 3.1.0, the first content patch of The Wrath of the Lich King expansion, the currently unnamed Ulduar raid will be released.  This raid takes the first steps of deepening the raid experience to a new level, and incorporates other experiences of The Wrath of the Lich King for a raid instance unlike any other in World of Warcraft.

On the basic level, the Ulduar raid will have fourteen encounters split into two wings.  One of these wings will only be open to the raid group once the first wing has been completed.

Eleven of the bosses will have “hard mode” (different from normal or heroic modes).  One will only have a hard mode.  As with heroic mode, the hard mode encounters will result in higher rewards in the form of loot and achievements for players.

The Ulduar raid will also incorporate vehicles, not unlike those used in Wintergrasp, a zone devoted entirely to player vs. player experience.  Players must use Choppers, Demolishers, and Siege Engines to fight an iron army that guards the entrance to the raid.  Each vehicle offers special benefits to the pilot and passenger as players try to defeat the army.  Once inside the raid, players will have to use all their skills and teamwork to defeat the bosses that wait for them.

The Ulduar raid puts together everything that Blizzard has been working on to improve the raiding experience for World of Warcraft players.  This raid is said to appeal to a wide variety of play styles, making it a great raid for anyone.  And because of the eleven encounters that make use of the hard mode, each time a player steps into the raid, it can be a whole new experience from the last, giving the Ulduar raid high replay ability for any player.  The Ulduar raid has recently become available on the public test realms, and players hope to see it go live very soon.

Enchanting 1-450

Welcome to the 1-450 Enchanting WoW Guide.  You are here because you want to get to grand master enchanter and want the quickest way to get there.  This guide will help you do just that.  What we have here is every formula (recipe) you need to create to level as fluently as possible to 40.  I have also listed all the materials you need.  Enchanting can be tough at the higher levels, which is why you sometimes see enchanters paying to make people things just to level up.  You will need quite a bit of gold to level all the way to 450, if you need more gold, you must check out the gold guide.

Some things to note…  Most enchanting formulas require items created from disenchanting.  You can level enchanting by disenchanting items up to level 60, so you might as well disenchant as many items as possible up to enchanting level 60.  After that, you will be disenchanting for no level skill increase.  Read our disenchanting guide here.  Through-out leveling enchanting you will need various rods to complete the enchantment, I have included the creation of each rod in this guide.  Some additional Enchanting Tips can be found at the bottom of the page.  A list of enchanting trainers can be found here.

Apprentice Enchanting 1-75

For this section you want to create your runed copper rod.  This item is required to enchant other items, so keep it.  As a matter of fact, keep every rod you create, because they are necessary for future enchants.  As apprentice you get to level up while disenchanting, so take advantage of it.  The items disenchanting create, sell for lots on the ah, so you can make money now or save the mats for later.  If you want to know what items disenchant at what level read our disenchanting guide here.

Additional Enchanting Tips:

• Enchanters can enchant their own rings with special bonuses. Only the enchanter can receive the benefit of those enchants.
• You can continue to re-enchant the same item to skill-up, but the item can only have one enchantment at a time.
• As an enchanter, ask your guildmates and friends to send you items that they don’t need so they can be disenchanted.
• Enchanters can only enchant weapons, gloves, boots, bracers, cloaks, shields, and chest pieces.
• You can enchant anywhere; you don’t need a special place to use your profession like Blacksmiths do.
• You can find additional enchanting recipes, called formulae, from hidden trainers or as drops from monsters. You can also get them from reputations.
• Look for formulae you don’t know yet at the auction house.
• If you try to cast another enchantment on top of an existing enchantment, it will prompt you with a message asking if you want to overwrite the older enchantment.
• Enchanters’ armor patches do not stack with enchants. You must decide which is more important to have.
• If you close the disenchanting loot pane without looting the item, the dust, essence or shard is automatically looted for you.
• Enchanters can turn some of their dusts and shards into magical oils. These oils when applied to weapons add a temporary bonus to magical damage or mana regeneration that stacks with permanent enchantments. The lower levels of these recipes are found on normal enchanting vendors. The higher level versions are found on special vendors in the world.
• Weapon enchantment colors: Some people like to get a particular color enchantment on their weapons. Learn the colors of each weapon enchantment and market it accordingly.

Should You Enchant?

Here are some tips and knowledge concerning enchanting before you decide to choose it as your profession.

Whether you are new to World of Warcraft or you just want to try something new, you will find that the profession of enchanting has a lot to offer.  When you get to level ten, you can pick up two professions, and enchanting can be a great way to spend your time.  You may also find that a profession that you have picked up is not working for you, and it might be a good time to give  enchanting a spin.  Essentially, enchanting is the art of deconstructing gear to harvest magical components on them and putting permanent positive augmentations on existing gear.
This profession is a great way to improve your gear and that of your party, and you’ll find that it is also a great money maker in the auction house if you know how to use it right.  Check out some of the great WoW enchanting tips below to get you started.  If you are picking up enchanting to make more gold in wow, you MUST check out this gold guide.  It not only tells you every money making secret concerning enchanting, but every gold secret in the WHOLE GAME of wow.  You could check out our review too.

1)  Create a banker alt

One thing that many experienced players do is to create a low level character that is only in charge of hanging on to things that other characters send it. Enchanting is a profession where you are going to be gathering the gear that you want to disenchant long before you can disenchant it, so hang on to that gear by sending it to a banker alt.  This way, rather than running around trying to gather gear that is pertinent to your current enchanting skill, you’ll be able to use stored goods.

2)  Become auction house savvy

One great way to make money with enchanting is to hit the auction house.  Essentially, in the course of the game, you are going to be picking up green and blue items that, despite their color, are not going to be very good.  When this happens, disenchant them down to their basic components and put those components on the auction house.  Not only will you get your skill up, you’ll also find that by using the add-on Auctioneer, you will be able to sell your reagents for a competitive but not unfair price.

3)  Be willing to do some farming

There are certainly points when you are leveling up your enchanting where it feels like you are just doing the same thing over and over again.  There is a certain amount of grinding that comes with any profession, and with enchanting, what this means is that you should take some time out and start hitting areas that you know have a lot of drops.  These drops don’t even necessarily need to be terrific, there just needs to be enough of them so that you can get your skill up.

4)  Do some advertising

When it comes to doing effective enchanting, one of the best WoW enchanting tips that you will find is to make some friends who need some enchanting done!  Advertise in the major cities that you are interested in enchanting for them.  This is a good way to make a little bit of money, and to get to know people as well.  This will also let you level up your enchanting without needing to worry about making gear that doesn’t suit your class.

5)  Go shopping

The auction house is good for more than just selling.  Take some time and occasionally go shopping for interesting or obscure formulae.  This will keep your skill growing and you won’t have to rely on drops and luck!

6)  Get a Guide to Help You

You aren’t a “pro” enchanter, so if you need the best help and advice to get the most out of enchanting, getting a guide written by a pro wow player really does help.

Gnome Mage

Once you hit around the mid 20′s, frost aoe mages can be deadly.  With talents such as improved blizzard, shhater and finally completing the base frost aoe build at level 40:  Ice Barrier.  Here is a base frost build that will take you to level 61, after that you can do what you want with it because after around level 40, you pretty much have all the skills necessary to aoe 8-10 melee mobs no problem.  The following is which skills to get and when and how to perform the aoe spell combo.  If you are having trouble leveling your mage you MUST check this leveling guide out.

Build Information, tips and more:

• This build is built for aoe in mind and pretty much just that.  There are only two points in improved frostbolt as this is not going to help your aoe out at all.  If you feel you need to do single targeting or are having trouble with pvp maybe go with 5 points.  Two points works just fine for me though especially once you get the range increase with arctic reach
• I wouldnt try to AOE until you have your three points in Improve Blizzard.  What I personally do is go fire until around level 23 and then respec.
• The reason for some fire talents is the World in Flames and Burning Determination.  Immunity is great when silenced and the critical strike increase with w.i.f to blizzard is huge.  I would get those spells after ice barrier.  (The increased bonus’s to fire blast help huge in those 1v1 or pvp moments too.)
• You want to be grinding on melee characters.  If you have ranged or spell casters they will interupt your blizzard.

How to Perform the AoE

• Ice Barrier  (If you dont have ice barrier yet just use your frost shields)

• Mount

• Grab about 8-10 mobs depending on how comforatble you are with the aoe.  Start with around 4 and build your way up.

• Ice block, that way they will bunch around you while you are invulnerable.

• Frost Nova (Traps them in place)

• Blink

• Blizzard

• Blizzard  (They should be dead by now) But if not….

• Cone of Cold

• Frost Nova

• Blink

• Blizzard

• Arcane Explosion anyone still alive
