I want to let you in on a secret for the game World of Warcraft. For some of you this may be old news but for others, this will improve your gaming skill in WoW immensely. The tip is using hotkeys for your spells and actions in the World of Warcraft. What hotkeys are are shortcuts that you click to initiate a spell. So if you pressed q for example you would shoot arcane shot. Doing so will increase your average leveling time and will make you a better fighter in player vs player battles including battlegrounds.

It has been proven effective by the best players in the world. It is much more efficient than clicking each spell with your mouse. At first it will feel awkward but you will get the hang of it in minutes! I did a little test for myself using hotkeys for 10 minutes grinding and then using only my mouse grinding the same mob for ten minutes. Using hotkeys I killed 8 more mobs than I did using only my mouse. In the long run that will save you literally days if you level from 1-70.

I will now tell you exactly how you can set your hot keys.

Firstly make sure you have enough toolbars for all your spells to be on your user interface (U.I). You can add action bars by pressing escape to bring up your menu, now click interface, then click actionbars. Now you can select which actionbars you want to be displayed in your U.I.

Now to add hotkeys to your spells. Add your spells to the action toolbars where you please. Now press escape again. This will bring up the options menu. Click the Key Bindings option. Now scroll down until you see action bar bindings and also MultiActionBar Bindings for your addon action bars you added in the paragraph previous. Now you can click and bind whatever key you want to the spot where your spell is. Presto, you have added hotkeys to your spells!

It will take a few minutes to get used to them especially if you have only used your mouse your whole life so just get used to it. Trust me, it will help you in the long run.
