This is the Cataclysm Engineering power leveling guide from level 1-525 (Illustrious Grand Master). This guide is updated for 4.0.3 and features new recipes and mats for WoW Cataclysm. We are updating these guides daily so be sure to let us know if you see any mistakes or better recipes to use. As of now this is the best way to get to 525.

To level Engineering takes thousands of gold, I used WoW Schools Cataclysm Gold Guide in order to have enough gold, especially for Illustrious Grand Master.

Why we picked the recipes we did:

The recipes in this guide can all be bought from trainers. I stayed away from using recipes that were found from drops as this is a speed leveling guide. I also tried to pick the cheapest recipes to level with, however, at the highest levels it starts costing a ton of Gold to level Engineering.

Unlike other profs, a lot of recipes in Engineering start in the Yellow. This means that you have a one out of two chance of leveling when you create that recipe. That is why on the quantity needed it will say 10-20 or 20-40 needed.

How To Level Engineering

1. Go to an Engineering trainer and learn engineering. Here is a List of Engineering Trainers.
2. Learn all the Recipes that you can or that you need to learn from this guide for your level of engineering.
3. Go to the AH or MINE for your materials that are listed in the guide. To speed level you need to buy from the Auction House.
4. Once you get to the next level go to the next Engineering Trainer to Learn your Next Level!

Useful Cataclysm Engineering Info

Engineering is a fun profession which allows players to craft assorted gizmos and contraptions using a variety of parts and explosives! Engineers use reagents which are mostly crafted from minerals, in both ore and bar form, gathered or smelted by Mining.

Engineers can craft many devices which include not only equipable items such as trinkets, guns and goggles but also a variety of unique inventions and even explosives! Most engineer-created items can only be used with a required skill level, such as Jeeves, the robotic butler, or combat pets such as Arcanite Dragonling (which even fight for you)!

Engineers can also build two unique types of mounts – a rickety but awesome flying machine (Turbo-Charged Flying Machine Control) and a kickin’ motorcycle (Mekgineer’s Chopper or Mechano-Hog) which allows a passenger and has both horde and alliance versions!

Profession-specific Perk

Engineers can craft devices which can be affixed to various equipment slots to provide a variety of interesting effects. Since many Engineering-created items require certain skill levels to be able to use, almost anything could be considered a perk!

Engineering Apprentice 1-50

Go and learn Engineering Apprentice from an engineering trainer and buy your Mats from the Auction House. You will need:

• Rough Stone (20)
• Rough Blasting Powder (20)
• Linen Cloth (10)
• Copper Bar (165)

Engineering Master 275 – 350

This is the brand new Cataclysm 425-525 Illustrious Engineering Leveling section. We are updating and checking back every day with the latest, cheapest and quickest build to 525. As of now this is the build we have. If you see any issues or changes that should be made, feel free to comment below. Depending on your server, the Auction House may be selling materials with costs through the roof right now. I used the WoW Schools Cataclysm Gold Guide to get enough gold for this section. These are the mats you need:

WotLK Mining is one of the easier professions to master, and can be done while leveling or exploring. Miners can also smelt ores into bars with their skill Smelting.  Many other professions require theire bars which can make a miner rich. Remember, smelting also can increase your mining skill points as well.

Alchemy Tricks

• New cauldron recipes can be discovered when making most major protection potions. Cauldrons can provide an entire raid with a major protection potion.
• Flasks are potions that can grant very powerful buffs that last through death and are very important for Raiding.
• Alchemists can create powerful resistance potions that are useful in dungeons and raids.
• Alchemists can transmute Arcanite and sell it or sell the use of the transmute to other players
• Alchemists can also transmute metals
• Alchemy buffs only sometimes stack with spell buffs.
• Expert Alchemy requires 125 skill
• There are alchemy labs that are needed by alchemists to make flasks inside of Blackwing Lair and Scholomance. There is also one in Shattrath City.
• Patch 2.3.0 Added a potion to alchemy trainers: Mad Alchemist’s Potion. This potion requires Alchemy to consume.

Enchanting 1-450

Welcome to the 1-450 Enchanting WoW Guide.  You are here because you want to get to grand master enchanter and want the quickest way to get there.  This guide will help you do just that.  What we have here is every formula (recipe) you need to create to level as fluently as possible to 40.  I have also listed all the materials you need.  Enchanting can be tough at the higher levels, which is why you sometimes see enchanters paying to make people things just to level up.  You will need quite a bit of gold to level all the way to 450, if you need more gold, you must check out the gold guide. Should You Enchant?

Here are some tips and knowledge concerning enchanting before you decide to choose it as your profession.

Whether you are new to World of Warcraft or you just want to try something new, you will find that the profession of enchanting has a lot to offer.  When you get to level ten, you can pick up two professions, and enchanting can be a great way to spend your time.  You may also find that a profession that you have picked up is not working for you, and it might be a good time to give  enchanting a spin.  Essentially, enchanting is the art of deconstructing gear to harvest magical components on them and putting permanent positive augmentations on existing gear. Inscription is the newest prof in wow intro’d in 3.0.2. What inscription does is allows the crafter to change the mechanics of a spell by crafting scrolls and create glyphs that are attached to your spell book. Inscription is quite tedious as items turn yellow from orange in 5 levels, so to level efficiently you need to change what yo uare making every 5 levels usually,  so be prepared.  There is also Milling; which is a sub skill of inscription which produces reagents from herbs, you dont need to mill to level but it does produce many of the ingredients you need which can be quite expensive if you decide to buy them from the ah. Welcome to the 1-450 WotLK updated World of Warcraft JewelCrafting Leveling Guide!  This guide is not going to explain the details oh how to jewelcraft or what it is.  What you will learn from this guide is the recipes and items you need to make to level as quickly as possible in jewelcrafting using the least ammount of mats (materials).

Jewelcrafting recipes are also called Designs, are used by Jewelcrafters to learn to create rings, necklaces, trinkets, and also cut gems which can be set into sockets on armor and weapons.  You can buy most designs from a vendor, but some can be looted or obtained as a prize from a quest.
