Reagents in WotLK are very hard to farm, and often are bought on the Auction house.  It is a very time consuming affair and will be done in contested and quest area zones.  This as you can imagine, can become very frustrating.

Fire Reagents

* Elemental Fire. Needed for Greater Fire Protection Potion and Robe of Power as well as several other recipes in many professions. Drops off almost any fire elemental in the game. A good place to get them with minimal effort would be the Burning Exiles in Arathi Highlands. Can also be transmuted by alchemists from Heart of Fire.

* Heart of Fire. Needed for several Blacksmith plans. Drops off Inferno Elemental, Blazing Elemental and Magma Elemental in the Searing Gorge, but not abundantly. Also drops off Living Blaze and Scorching Elemental at Fire Plume Ridge in Un’Goro Crater, probably at a higher rate than in the Searing Gorge.

* Essence of Fire. Needed for Blazing Rapier, Fiery Plate Gauntlets, Sulfuron Hammer and the popular Fiery Weapon enchant. Drops off mobs in Blackrock Spire, Blackrock Depths and Molten Core. Also drops off Living Blaze and Scorching Elemental at Fire Plume Ridge in Un’Goro Crater.

Earth Reagents

* Elemental Earth. Needed for Glinting Steel Dagger, Elemental Sharpening Stone, Greater Nature Protection Potion, Earthen Leather Shoulders, Robe of Power and Heavy Earthen Gloves. Drops off almost all earth elementals. A good place to farm would be the Rumbling Exiles in Arathi Highlands or different Rock Elementals in the Badlands.

* Core of Earth. Needed for The Shatterer and Runed Mithril Hammer. Drops off Land Rager in Tanaris, Greater Obsidian Elemental and Obsidian Elemental in the Burning Steppes, as well as Desert Rumbler and Desert Rager in Silithus. Some drops from Rock Elementals and Greater Rock Elementals in the Badlands, but drops are poor and farming there not very efficient.

* Essence of Earth. Used in several plans. Drops from Greater Obsidian Elemental and Obsidian Elemental in the Burning Steppes, Desert Rumbler and Desert Rager in Silithus, Stone Guardians in Un’Goro Crater, Thundering Invader in Azshara, Infernal Sentry and Infernal Bodyguard in Felwood and elemental mobs in Molten Core.

Air Reagents

* Elemental Air. Used in Edge of Winter and Robe of Power. Drops off almost any air elemental. Good drop rates from Thundering Exiles in Arathi Highlands, and Whirlwind Ripper and Whirlwind Stormwalker in Desolace.

* Breath of Wind. Needed for Truesilver Champion and Phantom Blade. Drops off Gusting Vortex in Tanaris and Dust Stormer and Whirling Invader in Silithus.

* Essence of Air. Used in many different plans. Slightly uncommon (drop rate was increased in 1.10). Normally drops from Air Elementals in Silithus.

* Mote of Air. Cyclone elementals in Outland. (Nagrand/Shadowmoon Valley)

Water Reagents

* Elemental Water. Used in Edge of Winter, Robe of Power, Greater Frost Protection Potion, Azure Silk Belt. Drops from almost any water elemental. Good farming to be had with the Cresting Exiles in Arathi Highlands, the Lesser Water Elementals on the northern islands of Stranglethorn Vale and the Sea Sprays and Sea Elementals along the coast of Feralas.

* Globe of Water. Needed for several plans and quests. Can be fished from floating debris in Azshara, and drops from many water elementals from level 45+. Toxic horrors have them often.

* Essence of Water. Needed for several plans. Drops from Toxic Horror in Felwood, Watery Invader in Winterspring, and Blighted and Plague elementals in Eastern Plaguelands. Moving between the Toxic Horrors and Watery Invaders seems like a fairly effective way to farm these.

* Note: All of the above Water reagents may be fished, with high Fishing level, from the ‘Patch of Elemental Water’ nodes in Azshara. See this guide for more information.

* Mote of Water. 10 of these will create you a Primal Water, needed for various healing enchants and other goods. These will drop off of Water Elementals in Outland (Nagrand/Shadowmoon Valley). Also can be fished from Pure Water nodes in Nagrand, which occur mostly in the Elemental Plateau.

Nature Reagents

* Living Essence. Needed for several plans and enchants, such as those with +healing and Nature Resist attributes. Un’Goro Crater Tar pits, or Dire Maul East / West. Also off Warpwood and Irontree mobs in northern Felwood, or less reliably off the Decaying Horrors and Rotting Behemoths in the Weeping Cave in northeastern Western Plaguelands.

* Mote of Life. Drops from Bog Lords and Fungal Giants in Zangarmarsh. They drop more commonly in the Deadmire but also reasonably well just to the east of Spawning Glen

Other Reagents

* Lava Core and Fiery Core. Needed for several high-level plans. Only drops off elementals inside Molten Core. This has led the AH prices on some servers to be extremely high (up towards 300 Gold). Best bet to get these is to join a guild that raids Molten Core regularly.

* Blood of the Mountain. Needed for several high-level plans. These can be mined from Dark Iron Deposits in the Searing Gorge and Burning Steppes, and inside Molten Core and Blackrock Depths. Also drops off Molten Destroyer inside Molten Core.

* Ichor of Undeath. Needed for Blight (Polearm), and for water breathing potions. Drops off undead in Western Plaguelands and Eastern Plaguelands, Highborne in Azshara and Winterspring, Zanzil undead in Stranglethorn Vale, and most undead mobs in Stratholme and Scholomance. Sorrow Hill and Andorhal in Western Plaguelands are decent places to farm for Ichor of Undeath.

* Essence of Undeath. Needed for Annihilator and Corruption. Drops from undead mobs inside Dire Maul, Scholomance and Stratholme. Some drops from mobs in Western Plaguelands, but probably not enough to be effective farming compared to a run or two to the instances.

A good place to get Core of Earth and Breath of Wind is across the southern Abyssal Sands in Tanaris. From The Noxious Lair in the west, head east staying north of the Dunemaul Compound until you are south of Broken Pillar. Then head southeast to the area immediately north of The Gaping Chasm. If you criss-cross a bit in said areas you should run into several Land Ragers and Gusting Vortexes on each round.

Fire Plume Ridge in Un’Goro Crater is a good spot to farm for Heart of Fire and Essence of Fire, as the elementals there drop both kinds. It’s about the only place to get Essence of Fire outside of Blackrock Mountain, so you should be prepared for some competition.

Sometimes, one has to resort to buying because of the time restraints.  If you do not have enough gold to buy the reagents you need, you need to check out this gold guide. So we went into Naxxramas last night to test out a new boss, Razuvious. He didn’t know what hit him. Then we thought to ourselves, “What are we gonna do now? We’re all pumped up!” The answer: Gothik and Patchwerk. After a learning wipe on Gothik and a strange bug where live side mobs ran to undead side, we destroyed him. Patchwerk? Please. Boss went down harder on the third attempt than Plated went down on the first attempt. The result? Naxx is being blown through by our forces and it wont be long till we take down Malygos as well.

I’ve been playing World of Warcarft ever since it was first launched back in 2004. My gameplay was pretty thorough and I’ve been constantly playing through the patches and 2 expansion packs and pretty much enjoyed all of the wonders of the game. I spend most of my time trying to figure out ways to effectively level up my characters and gone through all the challenges of doing so.

Though I admit, it was pretty tough when I first got started and I share the frustration with the so many other players who were hacking and slashing their ways through quests until there were no more left. It’s tough in the World of Warcraft and all of the patches and expansions didn’t make it any less frustrating in leveling up. Especially when you get to the high levels and when you run out of quests, leveling up your character can be really painstaking no matter who your character class is.

But, then I stumbled across this guide called Zygors Leveling Guide and it promised some untold secrets from the pros on how you can level up your character all the way up to 80 in just a week and playing all by yourself. Seeing the guide costing only $50 compared to the other expensive guides I saw, I decided to try this guide out with a fresh character and see if this really is too good to be true.

When I obtained it, I was immediately astonished to see a step-by-step guide installation video to help me set up the guides. What blew me away the most was that this guide is truly unlike any other strategy guide witnessed. Not only was the content highly organized in a step-by-step manner that is easy to understand, but the entire guide is accessible in game! This is truly what makes Zygors Leveling Guide worth every cent because you can tour through the guide without sifting through PDF pages and minimizing the game just to see it. It even saves piles of paper printing them and reading the sheets on hand can be a headache.

But the real question lies on whether this guide really works or not. Well, the guide is fully step-by-step and highly organized to guide you level by level so you can follow through. It is easy to stop playing when you are tired and then easily continue your game with the guide bookmarked to your progress so it isn’t confusing at all. Judging from the success in each step, it is really possible to go all the way to Level 80 if you play regularly and strictly following each step. Death Knight Info

Death Knights have been around since WarCraft II and now finally make an appearance in World of WarCraft. The WotLK Death Knight can be created for any race as long as they have a character that is at least level 55 in the realm. Once created, they start out at level 55 and come equipped with a full set of gear and complete with a barrage of skills and abilities.

Just like any class, you will guide the Death Knight through a series of quests before joining all the other players in the realm. They will start out at the Eastern Plaguelands and then going more than 30 quests as the Death Knights slowly learn their place in the world.

Death Knights are generally hybrid melee class characters that are a bit similar to Warriors. They can duel-wield weapons or optionally have two-handed sword weapons instead for some serious melee combat. They can also wear plate armor which is good for tanking and parrying without any need for shields. The death coil ability makes a comeback with the same functions as the ones in previous games – damaging foes and healing undead allies.

Instead of using mana, energy, or rage, Death Knights make use of a unique rune system for them to cast spells and abilities. The three types of runes are Blood, Frost, and Unholy. There is an additional fourth type of rune which serves as a wildcard and may pose as a Blood, Frost, or Unholy rune.  Blood Runes are primarily for melee and self-healing abilities. Frost also enhances melee abilities particularly the ones that focus on single targets. Unholy Runes are for the disease spells and allow Death Knights to summon ghouls and gargoyles.

All death knights have a pair of runes for each type with a total of 6 all in all. The various skills consume different types of runes and result to a 10 second cooldown before the rune can be used again for casting the same or other spells. Death Runes may take place of the used runes depending on what skill is used. As skills are being casted, the Death Knight’s Runic Power bar fills up which in return greatly increases the effectiveness of certain abilities like Death Coil.

Not only the Death Knight is the first hero unit to grace World of WarCraft, but it comes with an entirely new system that will get players really interested. Death Knights are great combat fighters and can pose a serious threat to anyone willing to PvP against them.

If you are having trouble leveling your Death Knight I highly suggest you check out Zygor’s Leveling Guide because it has a perfect death knight leveling path that gets you to 80 faster and easier than any other way.  No matter what level you are, you load the thing and it points with an arrow the direction to each monster, quest giver, trainer etc.  Its pretty crazy.  It also has an in game box that tells you exactly what to do, like kill 5 boars, run west 10 miles, etc.  You can find out more here or check out the review.

Ok… The team at WrathSecrets.com have been power leveling and reviewing guides since the very beginning of World of Warcraft when we only had to level to 60 in 4 days lol.  These days it takes a lot more time unfortunately but we still do it and love it!  We have produced many sites involving power leveling secrets and have learned a lot of the ins and outs over the years.  We know what we are doing and we know what is good when it comes to leveling guides.

Joana’s 1-80 Horde Power Leveling Guide Review

Joanas 1-80 Horde Guide

Joana has just released the addition to the famous 1-70 guide that was so popular: Joanas 1-80 Horde Power Leveling Guides.  Joana is probably the most famous power level as Joana set the 1-60 world record for SOLO leveling.  Athene has a record but that was not solo.

Note: This guide is only for the horde so if you are Alliance you are kind of out of luck.

We have had much history with the 1-60 guide and needed to see how fast the new 60-70 and 70-80 guides are.  The results were…. interesting.

We were pleasantly surprised.  Joanas leveling times to 80 were quite fast overall for the horde and the guide now offers an in game system as well. (see below)

Although not as easy flowing as Zygors 1-80 Power Leveling Automated Guide, Joanas guide did offer a few benefits that you should know of.

If you want to be an orc or troll hunter, this is the fastest guide for you.  Overall Zygors 1-80 Power Leveling Automated Guide was faster, but for HORDE troll and orc hunters Joana actually produced faster results.

As you can see, Joana also offers an in-game guide so you dont have to print anything out or alt tab back and forth to your desktop.  This is a nice feature, although buggy at times, does work.

This guide also offers many videos of Joanas actual leveling through the game, which is unique to this game.  I personally want to get right to it instead of watching videos of someone else doing it, but it does help if you are stuck in an area.

Overall, this is NOT the fastest horde guide, but IS the fastest HORDE HUNTER guide.  Obviously this is still a very good guide but overall doesnt offer the same result as zygors.

The Conclusion?

After all this testing, our conclusion is this:  If you want the fastest, most fun, best flowing power leveling guide out there, you HAVE to get Zygor’s 1-80 Alliance and Horde Automated Leveling Guide.  Not only is this guide the best, it is also cheaper than Joanas, Joana is more famous and mainly relies on that to generate popularity.

Don’t get us wrong, Joana’s Horde Leveling Guide does work, and is the fastest option for orc and troll hunters, but we had already had some experience with the guide and that may have helped our leveling times..  Also, Joana only offers Horde leveling routes..

So thats it… If you want the unfair advantage of leveling to 80 almost automatically to raid and pvp with your friends, go ahead and instantly download Zygor’s 1-80 Alliance and Horde Automated Leveling Guide.  The guide is so good it is offered risk free.

Many people have asked us, which is the best power leveling guide out there. Now to get things straight, there are many free guides out there that work ok. Unfortunately, just like everything else in life, you get what you pay for.. The top guides out there, (and by top we mean: the guide that levels you to 80 the fastest) are as follows:

• Zygors Automated 1-80 Alliance and Horde In Game Power Leveling Guide
• Joana’s 1-80 Horde Leveling World of Warcraft Guide

These are the top because you get to level 80 faster than any other guide out there.  Yes there are programs like questhelper, but still do not fare well in comparison to the in game software of these guides.  To note, everything that comes with these guides is 100% legal and you 100% wont get banned.

Now, you may be asking, I’ve heard of all three but which is the fastest, which has the best bang for the buck and which guide is going to make me PWN?!?!

We have strenuously put the three guides to the test over a number of different factors and have the answer in store for you!  Each factor has a number scale of 1-10, after judging each factor, we added up the scores which produced the best guide.  You may want the guide according just one factor, or you may be interested in the overall guide, thats up to you, take a look ahead, because the results are interesting to say the least!

Next Page —> First Test: Which is straight up the FASTEST!

So, which guide is the fastest.  To test this out we had to do it right.  We had numerous volunteer speed levelers test out each guide.  We had a leveler level up each class in horde and alliance for Zygors Guide and Team IDemise, for Joana’s guide we only needed horde leveler as Joana is a Horde only guide (we cover that issue later).

According to their sites:

• Zygors Guide offers 1-80 in less than 8 days. 
• Joana’s Guide doesn’t specifically say other than 1-60 in 4d20h, 60-70 below 2d and 70-80 below 2 days.  So added up 8 days 20 hours.
• Team IDemise clains you can do it in 6 days 5 hours.

So what were the results??

So in all: 9 levelers going from 1-80 5 times, 1 for each faction of each guide, 2 alliance, and 3 horde.  9 levelers to level all 9 classes of each faction.

As you can see by looking at the average row on the right, that both Zygors Horde and Alliance Guides had the fastest overall average leveling times from level 1-80 at around 7 days and 20 hours.  This is very good as they promote their guide at reaching 80 just below 8 days. 

Team IDemise Guide is quite off their clain of 6 days and 5 hours as the average leveling time was 8 days 10 hours.

Joana’s guide is an interesting find.  Joana is probably the most famous for leveling times, but as you can see from the data only the hunter and shamans were leveled the fastest.  Overall though, Zygors Horde and Alliance Guides proved to have faster times for the horde except in the case of Hunters and Shamans.

Conclusion and First Points Awarded

So as you can see Zygors Automated Alliance and Horde 1-80 Leveling guide has the fastest overall leveling times.  It offers both a horde and alliance guide and levels all classes to level 80 below 8 days.  I also appreciate how their website offers honest time results, this honesty is seen through-out their reviw as well.

Joana should not be excluded as an honorable mention as the leveling times for a horde hunter and shaman were among the very fastest.  Our leveling times to 80 were faster than those posted on Joanas site although they were quite vague.

Team IDemise produced the slowest results.  Now by slow, it is still fast in comparison to leveling without a guide or with a free guide, but slower than the guides tested.

Personally, I’m not a fan of game guides. I don’t think they do much other than ruin the content for you before you get there. So, I was surprised when I discovered that WotLK Secrets was anything but a big spoiler filled, fluff ridden guide that didn’t do much other than make the game less fun. Think of it more like a GPS device on a road trip. It gives you directions and guidance when you ask it to without telling you everything you’re about to see.

To start with, the guide covers all the basic aspects of the game’s new content. You will learn how to start a Death Knight, how to master Inscription, what you will face in all the new raids, all the new glyphs you have access to, ins and outs of the new achievement system, the changes to your classes, and whole lot more really nifty, really useful new details.

If you need things like raid specific strategies such as how to take on Malygos in his second or third form, the info is here for you. If you need to know what the best level 40 Glyph is for your Druid, you can look it up right here. It’s really been an invaluable resource for me as I’ve leveled and that’s saying a lot from someone who doesn’t usually like guides very much.

Factions and organizations

There are many new faction and new organizations will be playable in WotLK.  However, there are no new playable races involved.

Reputation grinding

A new faction system called ”Championing” will be implemented, basically, you wear the factions tabard while killing things so you gain experience and rep with that faction.  This is to allow for more flexibility when gaining faction rep.

Nexus War

When Malygos regained his senses, he quickly realized what had happened during his absence. The mortal races had manipulated magic and used it for their own personal gain. As a result, the Burning Legion had nearly been summoned again by the reckless Sin’Dorei. Confident that there is no other solution, Malygos has declared war to every spell-caster and wishes to annihilate their kind and drain all of Azeroth’s magic. However, there are groups that oppose him and fight for their own survival or for that of others.

Kirin Tor

The Kirin Tor – a group of powerful wizards – have moved their capital Dalaran to Northrend to fight off the Blue Dragonflight, along with the Undead Scourge. Being fanatic magic-users, they are directly influenced by the war Malygos has begun. Not only does he slowly drain all Azeroth’s magic, but he also intends to slay all casters. The Kirin Tor oppose him directly in his assault and fight for the fate of their world.

Blue Dragonflight

The Aspect of Magic and the leader of the Blue Dragonflight – Malygos – has started a war with the mortal races for their reckless use of magic. Using his flight, Malygos now seeks to divert Azeroth’s ley lines to his own home, the Nexus, by the use of giant constructs known as Surge needles, and send the energies out in the Twisting Nether, so no one will be able to use it anymore. He has not only ordered his fellow Blue dragons to slay the mortal spellcasters but also to take down all that would help these ‘criminals’.

Wyrmrest Accord

As the overseers of Life on Azeroth, the Red Dragonflight closely watches all wars and observes all conflicts. While they usually do not interfere they now deem it necessary to enter the front lines themselves. Malygos‘s plan, to remove all magic from Azeroth, would have disastrous consequences for the entire world. Such catastrophies would cost countless lives, much more than all those that have fallen during the Nexus War. Thus Alexstrasza – the leader of the Red Dragonflight – has called upon the Wyrmrest Accord, a union between all Dragonflights to find a way to end Malygos’s insanity and stop his reckless crusade.

WotLK Secrets, announced a little while back and launched shortly thereafter is reported to be a complete guide of everything you will encounter when you set foot into Wrath of the Lich King – we’re talking about more than 250 pages of content that covers everything from Inscription to Death Knights to Malygos to Dalaran.
