Lists of Blacksmithing Trainers

Blacksmithing is a crafting professions used to create armor and weapons out of ore that has been smelted into bars and other gatherable reagents. It is for this reason that Blacksmithing is most often paired with Mining.

Blacksmithing is often a desired profession by plate-wearing classes (Warrior, Paladin, Death Knight), as the majority of the items crafted by a blacksmith are of the Plate armor class, though there are a number of mail class craftable armor pieces as well (just as in Leatherworking).

Blacksmiths can create a Eternal Belt Buckle which can add a single socket to other players’ waist slot item.

Cataclysm Blacksmithing 1-525 Speed Leveling Guide Materials

This is the complete list of  Blacksmithing Materials you need.  Once you hit Grand Master Blacksmith the materials start becoming really expensive depending on your server and the AH.  Remember, this is a speed leveling guide.  The fastest way to level Blacksmithing is to buy all your materials and learn the recipes from Trainers.  If you dont have enough gold to do this get the WoW Schools Cataclysm Gold Guide.  The cheaper way is to learn Mining and try to mine all the materials yourself.

Go and learn Journeyman Blacksmithing and learn the new recipes.  Buy a blacksmith hammer and remember blacksmithing is mostly done at anvils.

• 110-145  : – 35 [Rough Bronze Leggings] Use 210x [Bronze Bar]
• 145-150 : – 5 [Patterned Bronze Bracers] Use 25x [Bronze Bar] and 10x [Coarse Grinding Stone]
• 150-155 : – 5 [Golden Rod] Use 5x [Gold Bar] and 10x [Coarse Grinding Stone]

Go and learn expert blacksmithing and learn all new recipes.

Artisan Blacksmithing (230-300)

Go and learn Artisan Blacksmithing and pick up new recipes.

Mats: 320x [Mithril Bar] 5x [Dense Stone] 470x [Thorium Bar] 10 [Star Ruby]

• 230-250 : – 20 [Heavy Mithril Breastplate] Use 320x [Mithril Bar]
• 250-255 : – 5  [Dense Sharpening Stone] Use 5x [Dense Stone]
• 255-275 : – 20 Thorium Bracers Use 160x Thorium Bar
• 275-290 : – 15 Imperial Plate Bracers Use 180x Thorium Bar + 10x Thorium Bar for the Quest
  Take 10 Thorium Bar to Derotain Mudsipper in Gadgetzan to learn this recipe.
• 290-300 : – 10x Thorium Helm Use 120x Thorium Bar and 10 Star Ruby

Master Blacksmithing (300-350)

Head on over to a Master Blacksmith Trainer and learn all the new spells and recipes.

Mats: 50 Obsidium Bars | 240 Folded Obsidium | 150x Volatile Fire | 520x Elementium Bar

• 425-450 -  25 [Folded Obsidium] – Use 50 Obsidium Bars (To speed level you need to buy 240x Folded Obsidium or you will need to : – 240 total yourself using 480 Obsidium Bars)
• 450-510 -  60 [Hardened Obsidium Breastplate] Using 240x Folded Obsidium and 360x Elementium Bar
• 510-520 – 10 [Bloodied Pyrium Belt] – Use:  Elementium Bar (100) and Volatile Fire (100)
• 520-525 – 5 [Bloodied Pyrium Boots] – Use: Elementium Bar (60) and Volatile Fire (50)
