So on to our free guide, good luck leveling herbalism and we hope you enjoy this herbalism leveling guide.   This guide can be used to power level herbs or to extract them as you level your character.  I have included some undead tips as they start in a different zone.  If you want to level much faster check this out.

Herbalism 1-50

For this section of your herb leveling, you will be picking [Silverleaf] and Peacebloom.  [Earthroot] is also available at level 15 herbalism.  These can be found around all starting zone areas.

  • Horde: You can find tons in Mulgore: you can just wander the area near Thunderbluff finding all sorts of Silverleaf and Peacebloom.
  • Alliance: Head southeast from Dolaneer picking Silverleaf and Peacebloom for a while and then back again.  You can also circle Elwynn Forest for a bulk of silverleaf and peacebloom.
  • If you are Undead you can hit up Solliden Farmstead, head north through the mills and then head back down south towards Stillwater, then to Cold Heart Manor and Nightmare Vale for a solid path of early herbalism.

Herbalism 51-70

  • For this section of leveling you will want to pick [Mageroyal] and [Earthroot]
  • For the Horde you want to head over to the good old Barrens and start at the crossroads, head directly west.  Just before you reach Stonetalon Mountain you should head north.  You will come across the Harpie Zone, there should be quite a few herbs here, so stick around before heading east to the Gold Road and back south to the crossroads.
  • For the Alliance head to Northern Westfall.  Now head to the Deadmines following the Coast South.  Once you reach the southern area, go straight to Sentinel hill and then head back up to Nothern Westfall to complete 51-70.
  • Gol’Bolar Quarry has a ton of Earthroot, so you can run around that place to level up too.

71-100

  • You will be looking for [Briarthorn] for these levels.
  • For the Horde you can run the same route as the previous levels, but dont just stop there.  You can pretty much run around the whole barrens picking herbs as you go.  Briarthorn will be the herb to look for but remember to pick everything else that you can along the way.
  • Undead should be in Silverpine Forest if you are also leveling your character and can find Briarthorn in the southern Parts, and towards Hillsbrad Foothills.  Run back and forth till you hit 100.
  • If you are Alliance you may have noticed that you saw Briarthorn on your previous Route, you can stick to that route or you can circle Twilight Grove in Duskwood.  Darkshore also has tons of Briarthorn if you just travel up and down the map.  Lakeshire has lots too.

101-115

  • This section you will be extracting [Bruiseweed]
  • If you are Horde start at Ashenvale Ramparts and head towards Splinter-tree post.  Wander through the forest because these will not be found laying right next to the paths.  Head west from Splinter-tree and make a loop south around the SunWell.  Then head back towards where you started to finish this circuit.  Run this until you hit 115.
  • The Stonetalon Mountains are viable, Bruiseweed can be found through-out the area.  Also check out the Barrens near the Field of Giants.
  • If you are Alliance check out North Mystral Lake or West Astranaar.  These are in Ashenvale and one can find much Briarthorn there.  Make some loops around Stonewatch Keep in Redridge Mountains or the Eastern Coast of Loch Modan if you are a dwarf.

116-125

  • [Wild Steelbloom] will level you the fastest at these levels.
  • Lower levels of Horde can hit up Stonetalon Mountains Again or the southern BArrens between the field of giants and Razorfen Dungeons.  Also in thousand needles you can run inbetween the great lift and highperch to find more wild steelbloom.
  • For alliance and horde, Arathi Highlans or Strangelthorn Vale has quite a lot of Wild SteelBloom, so head there if you are at a level that you can deal with PVP threats.
  • Alliance can also check out Wetlands if you are having trouble in the other areas.  Remember, from now on to travel off road because not many herbs will be lying next to the safe paths.

126-160

  • From now the zones will be for both Horde and Alliance and these Herbs will be found all over these zones so wander wherever you can and you will find the herbs you need.
  • [Kingsblood] will be the herb of choice for these levels, but remember to pick anything you find along the way that can be picked.
  • Ashenvale has lots, Hillsbrad foothills and Wetlands are good places too.  Swamp of Sorrows also offers Kingsblood as well.

161-185

  • You will want to collect [Fadeleaf] in these levels and this can be found in the Swamp of Sorrows.  Remember, Rogues buy Fadeleaf like crazy!!!  Time to get rich.

186-205

  • The next level is [Khadgar's Whisker]
  • Stay in the Swamp of Sorrows as there is some there.
  • The hinterlands and Arathi Highlands has dense spots of Khadgars too.

206-230

  • Look for [Firebloom] in these levels.
  • Run around the full areas of Blasted Lands and The Searing Gorge to find Firebloom.
  • Tanaris is a good spot to run around as well for this level.

231-250

  • You should collect [Sungrass] at these levels.
  • Felwood, Feralas, Hinterlands and Azshara are good spots for this herb.  Run full loops to find lots of Sungrass.

251-270

  • Collect [Gromsblood] for these levels.
  • Felwood is still a good place to be as it offers many herbs for this and previous levels.
  • Blasted lands also has Gromsblood spread everywhere.

271-285

  • [Dreamfoil] should be collected for these levels.
  • All of Un’Goro Crater should be explored since Dreamfoil lies all over the place here.
  • Certain parts of Azshara are good too.

285-300

  • [Plaguebloom] are added to the arsenal of things you can pick for these levels.
  • You can AGAIN hit up Felwood for good leveling.
  • Icecaps from Winterspring can also be collected but are more scarce but sell for more money.
  • Eastern and western plaguelands also have an abundance of herbs you can collect at these levels.

300-330

  • The new Herbs available to you are [Black Lotus] and [Felweed] at 300, at 315 [Dreaming Glory] and [Ragveil] at 325.
  • These can all be found in the Outlands so head there.  IF you dont think you can handle the Outlands or if it is too busy you can collect lower level stuff in either Plaguelands or Felwood.
  • Felweed and Dreamglory can be found all over the Outlands while RagVeil can be found in Zangarmarsh.

330-350

  • [Terocone], [Item]]Flame Cap[/Item and [Ancient Lichen] will become available to collect at these levels.
  • Again Zangarmarsh can be a useful resource for herbs at these higher levels.  Outland will still offer many herbs that will still level you quite nicely for these levels.  Zangarmarsh is highly recommended though.

350-450

  • The wotlk herbs that you can collect are [Goldclover], [Tiger Lily] at 400, [Talandra's Rose] at 400 and [Icethorn] at the very high levels toward 450.
  • These will be found all around Northrend.  The lower herbs at the lower starting zones, and as you move toward the 80 areas you will find the higher end herbs.  Remember to use enchantments such as: Enchant Gloves for +5 Herbalism.  This will help you collect those herbs you are quite not high enough to get yet.

Remember there is also an achievement under Realm Firsts: Grand Master Herbalism.  If you are the first in your realm to reach 450 in herbalism you get this achievement.  Again items like Enchant Gloves for +5 Herbalism will help you out quite a bit to speed level herbalism.

Congratulations! You have now power leveled Herbalism to 450! If you are planning to use Herbalism to generate gold be sure to check out this guide. A very nice guide! On a side note, I really like how you alternate the description about what herb should be gathered. :) Seriously. Really, really like!

  3. jeffrey Says:

wanted to say that skinning guide worked well for me, leveled it over the weekend… :D

hope this one works well also… and i think it would be good for them to make a program to run inside wow, with maybe shots of where they were, or gatherer coords… um.. ya… :D

if you dont have it, get the gatherer addon, it helps, and get guldies to get it as well: it tells everyone who has it on friends, party, or guild when you find something, and adds the coords to yours and theirs… and pitctures on your ingame map where they are located and what they are.. also.. you can search what you have for already found herbs and mining areas! Happy Hunting, and have a merry Orphan Week!(PLAY ALLIANCE ON GARROSH!!)

  9. Ixi Says:

Good guide, helped a lot. I would like to point out that you neglected to mention Stranglekelp. At level (85 maybe? Can’t remember) it is a fantastic herb to gather. When your farming in Westfall, make sure you hit the west coast, there are about 8 spawns.
