Welcome to the 1-450 WotLK updated World of Warcraft Engineering Leveling Guide! This guide will show you the exact recipes to level you to 450 in engineering. I have tried to provide the most cost effective way to get to level 450. A lot of the items created are used as mats later on, therefore, you are creating the mats yourself instead of buying them.

Requires Level 70. These items will turn green very quickly so ther is no exact number of items to produce. It is very economical though, because most of the items are used for later recipes. The “Goblin Land Mine” Schematic is a rare world drop and including it in a leveling guide is not a minor error.

As of 3.1.+, the Saronite Bomb is found inside the Box of Bombs and no longer provides skill ups. This guide will need something else to instruct on raising skill to 450 (preferably without using the expensive and various goggle recipes).

After following this guide for the first 100 or so levels, it is clear to me that the author of this engineering power level guide uses rare drop patterns that aren’t easy to come by in quite a few sections which makes for a rather difficult move to follow. For example, the ‘Field Repair Bot 110G’ is a 1% drop rate and doesn’t come cheap at the Auction House.
A good attempt at a guide, but I’m going to have to stop following it because I simply can’t afford to buy or grind the patterns that he/she is using to write this.

I’d just like to say that this was working out fine until the goblin land mine popped up! Thanks for making me buy the mats of something I cannot use. Now I would have to level fishing and hope it drops for me. FFS get ur shit together.. make a BASIC power leveling guide ffs.

I found this to be, overall, quite useful in power leveling. I sometimes had to work around it (using a different item than the Land Mine, for instance), but the only major problem I’ve found is the last two steps. The Saronite Bomb no longer exists as such, but, what is worse, is that the Global Thermal Sapper Charge is a Goblin Engineering-only recipe. Being a Gnomish Engineer myself, I’m forced to look for other items. Perhaps the leveling guide should either state this requirement or, earlier on, recommend becoming a Goblin, instead of Gnomish, Engineer. (Not that I would have, but other people might.)

Saronite Bombs do NOT work to level up to 450 as this author mentioned.

Dear god… you are going to have to think your own way through things instead of following a cheating guide like this. “OMG GOBLIN LANDMINE IS RARE! YOU SUCK SO BAD!” Jesus yeah they made mistakes. It works well for a long time. Have your own god damn thoughts instead of blaming it on the guide you fucking douchebag noobcakes.
